During your stay we hope that you do not require the services of a doctor. However if so, then if possible please contact a Victoria Complex staff so they can provide any assistance they can. Alternatively, in serious emergencies use the emergency contact number on your notice board or book.
For minor problems it is worth visiting the local chemist, antibiotics can be given from there without prescription if necessary. A red or green cross and the word "FARMAKEION" can identify chemists.
There is no hospital here on the island. The nearest one is in the town of Volos on the mainland. However, there is a medical centre situated at the top of Skiathos town in the Acropolis area.
Here you will be able to receive immediate medical advice and attention should you require it. There is also a dentist available within the medical centre and three more private surgeries located around the town.
Please Note: The medical centre is open 24 hours a day, however, after 2pm they will only accept more serious illnesses or emergencies. Minor ailments will be treated between the hours of 08:00 - 14:00
Please remember to obtain a receipt for all medical expenses incurred, these can be submitted with your insurance claim when you return home.
