The following page is dedicated to some of the questions often asked:
Water
Generally speaking the tap water is safe to drink, however the taste is not the same as back home. The water has quite a bitter taste and does contain a high mineral content. If you prefer, bottled water can be purchased from supermarkets, restaurants, and bars. In the height of summer water can become a valuable commodity and you may find an occasional drop in pressure. On the same note we ask you not to waste water. Greece gets a "gold star" for their use of environmentally friendly solar energy - the sun is used to heat water. It is thus inevitable that on the rare occasions when the sun refuses to shine, shortages of hot water may occur.
Plumbing And Drainage
Unfortunately, due to the drainage pipes being so narrow, we ask that you dispose of toilet paper and sanitary items in the bins provided. Please observe all notices advertising this.
Kitchen Facilities
All studios and apartment complexes vary with regard to their kitchen facilities. However, you will generally find that they have two cooking rings, a small fridge and limited kitchen utensils. Occasionally, due to continuous use by previous guests, some items may be missing. If this should occur, please inform your Olympic Representative ASAP.
Damages
During your holiday, your accommodation will become your home, therefore you are responsible, and should any damages occur during this time, you will be charged accordingly.
Door Keys
Please keep your door key safe, and where possible leave at reception. If the key is left in the inside lock, and the door closes, the lock will have to be removed, or should the key be lost you will be charged accordingly.
